We’re excited to announce that all funds collected in our donation tins for Quarter 2 of 2025 will go directly to Wildlife Rehabilitation Queensland.

Wildlife Rehabilitation Queensland is a dedicated not-for-profit organisation committed to giving wildlife a helping hand, rescuing and rehabilitating injured, sick, and orphaned native animals.

There will be two more opportunities in 2025 to nominate your favourite community or charity group to receive the funds raised through our donation boxes. Thank you to our members and guests for your generous spare change – together, we’re making a difference!

Supporting local charities in 2025!

Magpies is continuing to give back, and we`re looking for a local charity to receive donations from our collection boxes for the second quarter.

Know a charity or community group that could use some extra support? Head to our Facebook Donation Box post and tag them for a chance to be selected.

The winning organisation will be announced on Friday 28th March and will receive all donations from Monday 1st April to Friday 27th June.

We are thrilled to share that Whitsunday Food Bank are the next Donation Box beneficiary for Quarter 3. Food Bank Mackay provides cheap affordable food to people who hold the following cards or statuses: Centrelink Card, Seniors Card, Veterans Card, Carers Card and Disability Card.

Applications are now open to apply for our Quarter 4 period. If you know a charity who would like to be a donation beneficiary make sure you tag them on this post, winner will be announced on Monday 9th September.

Our club is overflowing with kindness of our amazing patrons, who generously donate their spare change to support worthy causes. Our next chosen charity to benefit from this generosity is @chancesmackay, part of the Australia Street Aid Project. 💙

Chances are Mackay`s only daily homelessness meal service. They have a drop in lounge and offer homelessness healthcare, essential items and more.

Every quarter, we make impactful donations to a different local charity and we thank you for your contributions. 🌟
