Introducing Charlotte, a shining star both on and off the netball court. With five years of dedication to the Magpies Netball team, she’s proven herself as a true asset to the sport. Born in Hobart, Charlotte’s journey led her to Mackay in Grade 1.
Charlotte may be quiet by nature, but her determination speaks volumes. Her positive impact on those around her is undeniable, earning her the admiration of teammates, coaches, and fans alike. As captain of the 15A Mackay Monarchs, she led with inclusivity, positivity, and an unwavering work ethic, inspiring her teammates to give their all.
But Charlotte’s talents don’t stop on the court. She’s also a dedicated academic with dreams of becoming a paediatrician, a goal she’s well on her way to achieving.
Recognised as a nominee for the Young Sports Person Award in the @MackayRegionalCouncil Australia Day Awards, Charlotte’s achievements are truly remarkable. Her inspiration stems from her family, particularly her strong female role models โ her mum, Nan, and aunties. Their influence, coupled with the encouragement of her coaches, drives Charlotte to strive for excellence.
On this International Women’s Day, Charlotte shares her wisdom with fellow young women: “work hard, stay positive, and never let your gender limit your dreams”. For her, this day is about celebrating women’s achievements and acknowledging the journey ahead towards true equality.
