OVER $1.1 MILLION CONTRIBUTED TO THE COMMUNITY LAST FINANCIAL YEAR

 

Magpies is a not for profit, community club that is member driven and community oriented, we are dedicated to weaving a strong fabric in the Mackay community. Magpies Community program, a Magpies Sporting Club initiative – aims to support schools, sporting clubs, charities and non-profit organisations within the greater Mackay region by way of cash donations, raffle items, gift cards, room hire, use of fields or facilities and professional assistance.  Despite a tough 2020 Magpies still managed to contribute over $1.1 million to the Mackay community in the 2019-2020 financial year. $1,115,049.35 to be exact.

GO MAGGIES

Magpies proudly support 9 affiliated sporting clubs and co-found the Mackay & the Whitsundays Magpies Crusaders United Football Club, but you can call them MAGPIES CRUSADERS.

Magpies Crusaders represent the Mackay & Whitsundays region in the Queensland National Premier League (NPL).

Courtesy Bus

The Courtesy Bus operates from 9am to late Monday – Friday, from 10am Saturday and from 11:30am to late on Sunday. Magpies Courtesy Bus is available for members, their guests and Mackay tourists for pick up and return. Children over 4 years of age are welcome and booster seats are subject to availability.

Areas include North Mackay, Mount Pleasant, Glenella, Slade Point, Andergrove, Beaconsfield, Rural View, Eimeo, Blacks Beach, Richmond, Bucasia, Mackay Harbour, West Mackay, East Mackay, South Mackay, Ooralea and Paget.

CLUB DRESS RULES

An appropriate dress standard and hygiene level is required to meet our customers’ expectations of comfort, cleanliness and appearance.  The dress standard for Magpies Sporting Club is a clean, neat and tidy appearance at all times.  To maintain the high standard of dress enjoyed at Magpies Sporting Club we request the dress rules be abided by.  The following attire is not acceptable at any time:

  • Bare feet, dirty footwear, or work boots
  • Hats or caps
  • Activewear, beach wear or swim suits
  • Singlets
  • Dirty, ripped, torn or soiled clothing or workwear
  • Offensive T-Shirts

Management reserves the right to refuse entry to any patron that does not meet the club dress rules.
