MAGPIES COMMUNITY PROGRAM

Magpies Community program, a Magpies Sporting Club initiative – aims to support schools, sporting clubs, charities and non-profit organisations within the greater Mackay region by way of donations: raffle items, gift cards, room hire, use of fields or facilities or professional assistance.  Applications to request a donation can be made by completing the online application form below.

MEMBERSHIP PLEDGE RECIPIENTS

With every new membership Magpies Sporting Club donates $2 to one of four charities that the new members choose when filling out their membership application form. Each financial year Magpies Sporting Club offer charities the chance to be one of these four donation recipients for the next financial year.  The chosen four charities will receive their cash donations based on how many new members select their charity on the membership forms for that financial year.  Your charity can apply via our website, click on the button below.

DONATION BOX RECIPIENTS

We have several donation boxes throughout our club, brimming with generosity from our valued patrons who have contributed their small (or sometimes big) change. Four times a year (each quarter) we pass the spare change as an impactful donation to a worthy local charity. Want your charity to be the next beneficiary? We’re proud to support Dylan Secher with a $600 Magpies Community Grant as he competes at the UCI World BMX Racing Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark.
After earning a 2A plate at the 2024 National BMX Championships in Perth, Dylan secured his spot on the Australian team in the Challenge Class for 2025. Competing in the 13–14yrs Boys Cruiser category, he made it to the finals and finished 7th in the world.
This grant helps cover costs like flights, accommodation, registration, race gear and insurance as Dylan continues to represent Australia at the highest level.

Please drop off donations before Wednesday 17th December. #MagpiesCommunity #MagpiesStaff
Lou had the pleasure of presenting Zoe from Northview State School P&C with a gift voucher in support of their upcoming Fundraising Raffle. Northview’s P&C has pledged $30,000 to help replace 30 outdated laptops for students, and their raffle will play a big part in making that happen. We’re proud to support their efforts and contribute to a cause that directly benefits local kids and their learning. Best of luck to Northview State School, we hope the raffle is a huge success! 🎄💛

We donated $296 to Whitsunday Food Bank from $1 of every main meal sold on Thursday 16th October, in support of World Food Day. 💛

Our purpose is to make a difference in the lives of our community, and this is just one small way we can give back.

Thank you to everyone who enjoyed a main meal at Magpies and helped us support this great cause.
