🌟 Mayor Greg Williamson popped into Magpies to present Jasmine Fuhlbohm, the 2024 Mackay Regional Council Young Citizen of the Year, with her award.

🫀 Jasmine has worked tirelessly to raise funds (more than $7,000) and raise the awareness of the need for defibrillator machines across various charities, organisations and locations within the Mackay community that would otherwise not have access to this vital resource.

🫶 Jasmine unexpectedly lost her father to a heart attack when she was only 10 years old. He was just 39 years old. This cause is very close to her heart.

Well done Jasmine!

🌟 Honouring our Senior Duty Manager, Jasmine, who's been nominated by her peers for the Young Citizen of the Year at this year's @MackayCouncil Australia Day Awards Ceremony. Jasmine has been doing an amazing job fundraising for Defibrillators, a cause that is very close to her heart, after her Dad passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack when Jasmine was only 10 years old. Let's applaud her for embodying Magpies values and making a positive impact in our community. Best of luck at the Mackay Regional Council awards ceremony on Thursday 25th January. #MagpiesStaff #MagpiesCommunity #AustraliaDayAwards #YoungCitizenOfTheYear
