DONATION BOX Q4 COLLECTION PERIOD
The collection period for donation boxes that will go to the winning charity of Q4 is Tuesday 30th September – Friday 19th December 2025.

Magpies Community Grants, a Magpies Sporting Club initiative – provides financial assistance 4 times a year to winning applicants within 3 grant categories:

Magpies Community program, a Magpies Sporting Club initiative – aims to support schools, sporting clubs, charities and non-profit organisations within the greater Mackay region by way of donations: raffle items, gift cards, room hire, use of fields or facilities or professional assistance. Applications to request a donation can be made by completing the online application form below.

With every new membership Magpies Sporting Club donates $2 to one of four charities that the new members choose when filling out their membership application form. Each financial year Magpies Sporting Club offer charities the chance to be one of these four donation recipients for the next financial year. The chosen four charities will receive their cash donations based on how many new members select their charity on the membership forms for that financial year. Your charity can apply via our website, click on the button below.

We have several donation boxes throughout our club, brimming with generosity from our valued patrons who have contributed their small (or sometimes big) change. Four times a year (each quarter) we pass the spare change as an impactful donation to a worthy local charity. Want your charity to be the next beneficiary? We’re proud to support Eimeo Surf Life Saving Club Inc. with a $700 Magpies Community Grant in our final funding round for 2025. 🖤🤍
For 25 years, Eimeo SLSC has helped keep Eimeo Beach safe with more than 360 volunteers, 52,000 patrol hours, and a big impact on the 38,000 beachgoers who visit each season. Last year they completed 1,700 patrol hours, 2,100 preventative actions, and 29 first aid treatments.

🏏 Kiana Dunn received a $400 Magpies Community Grant in Q4 2025, and we were grateful to be able to help support her in her selection for the Queensland Under 19 School Sport team for a four-game series against NSW. Kiana trialled through Mackay & District and Capricornia before being chosen for Queensland, even after the state competition was cancelled due to a cyclone. Her costs included uniforms, carnival fees, flights, a rental car, and accommodation; expenses that grants help families manage. Kiana performed strongly, taking 1/21 off 4 overs in the one-day match, helping Queensland defeat NSW for the first time in three years, breaking their 13-game streak. Magpies Community Grants will return in 2026. #MagpiesCommunity #MagpiesCommunityGrants
